Moonlit terror
by
Ian R.
Fearing night is coming, he hides in the basement and locks the
door behind him
As the bolt slips through the knot, a surge of aggression
steamrolls through every limb
The pain of this is too much to bear and
he blacks out, with a thud he hits the floor
A single beam of moonlight
peers through the window, illuminating the new horror
With a gnash of
teeth and a snarl the beast rises from the depths of mankind
He sniffs
the air looking for the one thing that will feed his hunger, it consumes his
mind
Now let loose on this world, he is free to feast on the innocent
and the weak
Following the scent of human flesh in the air, he turns the
corner to find what he may seek
Using his new powers, he locates a
lost little girl crying on a bench in the park
Seeing his opportunity he creeps closer, keen sight gauges the distance to the mark
With a sudden and violent movement he dissects his prey before she can
react
Shedding the flesh from the bone, only the ribbon in her hair is
left intact
Now that he has fed, the urge to rest is overwhelming, sleep
slowly sets in
Awaking in the morning, the man is naked and holding a
bloody pink ribbon
