Fear
by

As I stare down the path, a calm wind blows
Feeling relaxed, I stand still to see what the future shows

A scream fills the air and the sweat drips down my face
I am frozen at this sound, I can not move from this place

In the distance I see a wolf howling to the moonlight
Out of the darkness several red eyes approach, I prepare to fight

One of the figures grabs my sight,  It is a woman in black
Realizing that this figure seems familiar, I step back

The figure comes in to my torch light, and terror overwhelms me
Frozen with fear, I try to mumble “it can not be”

She raises her hand and the packs eyes move near.
With out warning I am struck from behind, I can not see or hear

A sweet voice calls, looking around I am in total disarray
I realize that the one I have loved has ran away

She left me broken and hurt, thinking soon I shall die
A light appears from above, it engulfs me, I feel an inner high

Floating on a cloud toward the light, demons begin to swirl
Ignoring the monsters, feeling safe, I look in to the light, the face of a girl

She opens her mouth and one word is spoken, “Fight”
I awake to a new day, I made it through that night.
